Introduction

Jordao College is an independent high school that has been registered with the Gauteng Department of Education (“GDE”) for the past 28 years. Jordao College is accredited with Umalusi since 1 July 2019 to offer the National Curriculum Statement in Grades 8 to 12 leading to the National Senior Certificate. Accreditation by Umalusi attests to the capacity of an independent school to offer a qualification on the General and Further Education and Training Qualifications Sub-Framework at the required standard.

Being a secondary school, we offer the general pathway to obtain the National Senior Certificate.  This means that our learners follow the curriculum as set by the Gauteng Department of education.

We endeavour to personalise the schooling experience for our learners by restricting classes to a maximum of 20 learners per class. We take a personal interest in all of our learners, recognising the effect and impact of past experiences on who and what they are. Free extra lessons are available to those learners who require additional tuition.

Our educators are committed professionals who have the best interest of all learners as their focus.

The school prides itself on having good relations with the parents of learners. While parents must expect the school and its educators to provide the best education possible with the resources available to the school, parents must also accept responsibility to help the school achieve this goal.
